30 Rock, Day 13

Today the wrapping was filled with clues! The present was wrapped in really cute dog print paper. It had a bible verse card with a cute dog on it too. And the verse on the card is from 1 Peter, the same book I quoted yesterday in the whisper! And there was a sweet birthday message attached, too. I could feel it was a book of some kind. It reminded me of a notebook, but since it was longer than a typical notebook, I guessed it was a little book relating to dogs. No, I was right the first time- its a reporter notebook! Which is like an investigator's notebook...a place to record clues like dog print wrapping paper.

I love the design. It says Hope on the front, and on most pages it says, "Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord," Psalm 31.24 at the bottom. But on just a few pages toward the middle, it says "Rejoice in the Lord and be glad," Psalm 32.11.

Perhaps I will use this as my new prayer journal. I have had one prayer journal since 1999, and I only write "big" prayers in it, and I use my regular journals for everything including little prayers. But I was thinking I'd like a place to record all of the cool little "god things" that happen often, like the whispers I'm writing about, or an eerily timed call or email, so that I can see and remember them all in one place. They are kind of like clues, after all.
