30 Rock, Day 26

The end is near!! I guessed today's present, or part of it. I could hear M&Ms rolling around when I shook it, and so could Rowan. He must have sensed that I suspected chocolate, because he hasn't been at all interested in the morning gift unwrapping, but today he called dibs on the gift (signing more, pointing, and reaching for it) before I even opened it.

It's dark chocolate peanut M&Ms and this awesome 3D University of Texas cup! A long time ago, someone told me- in the presence of the coffee girls- that I shouldn't eat M&Ms because women's metabolisms are inferior to men's. The reaction to that was a very clear non-verbal equivalent of "Oh no he DI'N'T!!" from all of the women present. The bag of M&Ms was circulated to me about 3 times more frequently that night than it had been before that comment, and it was always delivered to me along with a purposeful glare at the offending party. And since that time eight years ago, dark chocolate peanut M&Ms have been a staple in our group. The coffee girls are actually responsible for dark chocolate peanut M&Ms being available to the world. They wrote to the M&M people when they were discontinued since they originally were a limited time only item, and the M&M people saw their reasoning. (At least I think that was about dark chocolate M&Ms and not coconut ones...). But anyway, buy M&Ms and support women's right to chocolate! Thanks, girls!
